March 2 is Surgeon Day at the Georgia Capitol

Are you worried about Medicaid reimbursements shrinking?
Do you worry that every surgeon in Georgia may be forced to participate in the Medicaid program?
What is the future of tort reform?
And what will become of trauma funding?
Are you and your patients worried about the impact of healthcare reform?

Georgia Surgeon Day at the State Capitol will give you the opportunity to speak directly to your state lawmakers about these issues.

Come to the Blue Room in the Georgia Freight Depot on Wed., March 2 for a light breakfast and then walk across the street to the Capitol to visit personally with your elected state senator and representative.  Jon Sutton, Director of State Advocacy for the American College of Surgeons, GSACS President Dr. Hal Kent and SURGPAC Chairman Dr. Ted Perry will share their insights and you will be given instructions about how to find and speak with your elected official before we return to the Blue Room for lunch.

For directions to the Blue Room use the following link.  http://gba.georgia.gov/00/channel_title/0,2094,59377335_73932466,00.html

Please let the GSACS staff know you will be attending this event by calling 404.625.1520 or emailing kdb@georgiaacs.org

Don't miss this opportunity to be heard on the issues that matter most to you and your patients.
