November 17 House Call on Congress. Stop the SGR cuts!

Join Patients' Action Network members and doctors from around the country on Wednesday, Nov. 17 for a nationwide House Call on Congress. Use the American Medical Association (AMA) toll-free grassroots hotline: (888) 434-6200.
It's a tragedy that Congress has let Medicare erode into an unreliable, unstable system for patients and their doctors. The AMA's Patients' Action Network is doing everything we can to help set it right, but we need your help.
Between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, Nov. 17, call your U.S. senators using the hotline: (888) 434-6200.
Tell your senators to:
·    Meet their self-imposed Dec. 1 deadline to address this crisis before it begins to disrupt access to care for you and your family.
·    Provide some stability for the Medicare program by stopping the cuts for at least 13 months, to allow time for fixing the Medicare mess once and for all.
·    Resolve this problem once and for all in the coming months. Baby boomers begin entering Medicare soon, and if this problem isn't fixed, these new Medicare patients may not be able to find a doctor to treat them.
We urge you to join your friends and colleagues on Wednesday, Nov. 17 and call your senators. Tell Congress its inaction is coming between you and your doctor and putting your access to care at risk!
