Dr. Ronney Abaza is Director of Robotic Urologic Surgery at the Ohio State University Medical Center & James Cancer Hospital and Co-Director of Ohio State's Center for Advanced Robotic Surgery. His practice and academic interests are dedicated solely to robotic surgery for benign and malignant urologic conditions. Dr. Abaza has been performing robotic surgery since 2006 when he founded the Robotic & Minimally-Invasive Urologic Surgery Institute of Northwest Ohio, and he joined the Department of Urology at Ohio State University in 2008. Dr. Abaza’s research is focused on outcomes of and new techniques in robotic urologic surgery; his work has been presented at national and international meetings, including more than 100 presentations on robotic surgery in the past three years with awards from local, state and national urologic societies for his research. He is course director for the only national urology resident preceptorship in robotic urologic surgery held at OSU annually and is director of a robotic urologic surgery fellowship at OSU.
